Post "24hrs of VIR" report

We're back from Alton Virginia and the 24hrs of VIR race!  We got setup on Friday for practice laps, the car handled great and was fast.  Race start was 10am Saturday morning where the car again ran great on the south course.  At 5:30pm the course changed to the full course and rain/nightfall made things interesting.  Some severe thunderstorms rolled through about the same time as the course change which made things hairy.  We held through till the wee hours of the morning until an engine failure took us out of contention.  Race was very clean especially considering there were 84 cars on the grid.

In all we logged 376 laps,  placing better than the top quarter of the pack until the failure.  Great,  exhausting, but fun race!

More information, video and pictures from the race will be posted on the VIR 24 - July 2011 page here

We're back from Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Chumpcar World Series.  Car ran great,  two wrecks early but we kept it on the road after that to finish 18th of 49 cars.  Rain in the morning had the track wet and lots of traffic and contact,  as cars dropped out racing got better in the afternoon.  See more under Track Time (Here)

Back from the Rock and a good weekend of racing. Combination of penalty laps and two separate contact incidents Saturday and Sunday kept us off the podium but ran strong. More details in Track time section. Congrats to Rust Riders for fastest lap of the weekend on race day two (1:10.757!!)
